Climbing French Bean 'Reading Purple'

Climbing French Bean - Reading Purple
This bean was passed to our donor, Malcolm Charlish, by an allotment neighbour. The tall plants have dark green leaves and purple stems, followed by long purple pods that change to green when they are cooked. The tasty pods are stringless if picked young. Unusually, this bean loses its leaves as the pods begin to dry.
