Raise plants in pots in a warm place, or sow outside in late May/early June. Allow 2-3 feet between plants. Trailing varieties can be grown up a trellis on a fence or shed.

Tender: Likes heat, won't stand frost and will do badly in cold conditions.
Quantity: 2 plants could be grown in a square metre. This helps you calculate how much space you'll need, and the yield you can expect.
