Glorious Gardens
Here at Ryton Gardens we garden in harmony with nature. Ten acres of beautifully landscaped grounds highlight the delights of organic gardening.
Glorious arrays of flowers and shrubs are on show throughout the year. We recapture the beauty of a wildflower meadow and a cornfield. Blue seas of lavender and a host of different roses invigorate the senses.

Time for coffee?
Organic gardens also provide a safe haven for wildlife and are fascinating to visit over the changing seasons. You're sure to be inspired by the ideas on display and the simplicity of this gentle approach. Just relax and enjoy yourself.
Time for a Break?
Conservatory Café
The recently refurbished Café is ideal for a quick cup of tea and a slice of cake, or if you fancy something more substantial why not try our range of delicious light meals. All our food is prepared daily using organic ingredients and with a special children's menu it is perfect for a family lunch. The children's play area is adjacent to the Café.
Award winning organic Restaurant
The award winning restaurant is the largest 100% organic restaurant in the Midlands. It has a mouth-watering, unique organic menu which uses locally sourced produce and where ever possible, produce from the organic gardens at Ryton. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea are all served 7 days a week and private functions can be catered for.

The Shop at Ryton Gardens
The shop not only sells gardening essentials such as tools but also:
A wide range of organic seeds
A great selection of garden plants including herbs, vegetable plants and perennials

Selection of books and gifts

No-one likes using sprays, especially when they don't know what harm they may be doing in the long term to the environment, or to the health of ourselves and our children. At Ryton we show you lots of ways to keep pests and diseases at bay without using harmful sprays.
The Gardens Keep Growing!

Each year there are new display gardens to see at Ryton Gardens. The Members' Garden and Members' Experiments Garden dedicated to our members in gratitude for all their support over the past 50 years (open to all). There are lots of unusual ideas to try out - including growing vegetables in containers and amongst your ornamental border. The Flowers for Pleasure Garden demonstrates how to grow good quality flowers for cutting and drying at
From Easter until the end of September on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays at 11:30am and 2:30pm. There is no additional cost for these tours. Other times by arrangement.
Conference Facilities
We have superb conference facilities. They offer unique private accommodation for seminars, meetings, events and training days. The venue is perfect for all manner of meetings with fine views of the gardens. See the conference centre page for further details.
Facilities for those with a Disability
The gardens, shop and Conservatory Café are all fully accessible to wheelchair users.
We have three wheelchairs available, including two motorised chairs, and there
are toilets for those with disabilities. If you would like the use of a wheelchair
during your visit, we would recommend that you book one in advance – particularly
during the summer months as the demand can be high. To book a wheelchair for

Guide dogs are welcome.

Ryton Gardens is open seven days a week
Monday-Sunday (and Bank Hols) 9am-5pm
Please note: The Café and Restaurant close half an hour before the shop and gardens. Opening hours subject to adverse weather conditions.
Admission prices to the gardens

Admission prices 2010 inclusive of Gift Aid:
Adult £6.60 (includes one child admission free)
Concession £6.00
Additional child £3.30 (age 5-16)
Under 5s FREE
These prices include a 10% donation as part of the gift aid scheme see below for details
Thanks to a government initiative, if you're a UK tax payer, and you make a donation that is 10% more than the basic entry fee, the government will give us an extra 25% of the full gift aid admission. This makes a massive difference to a Charity like Garden Organic. Your extra money goes towards the upkeep of the gardens and our other activities. The prices above include a voluntary 10% donation, which allows us to benefit from an additional 25p in every £1 paid.
If you are not a UK taxpayer or do not wish to make a charitable donation the admission prices are as follows;

Please note that only assistance dogs are permitted within the organic gardens.

Admission to the garden is FREE to RHS and Birmingham Botanical Society (BBS) members - Except on Event Days
Please note : Garden Organic "2 for 1" entry vouchers (and similar) are not valid on event days.
Group discounts are available. See the group visits information, groups must be booked two weeks in advance.
