Description
Barry Holdsworth is an independent horticultural consultant able to provide a holistic approach in relation to the management of grounds and gardens. Based on over twenty years experience, harnessing theoretical and practical experience together with management learning to provide practical solutions to any problems that limit a garden reaching its full potential. All advice given is based on gardening with minimal harm to the environment.
Garden Management
Following a site visit a report will contain detailed advice on how best to manage your garden, with crop plans, maintenance regimes etc.
Landscape management will deliver creative solutions to enhance your garden, with advice on selection of plants, statuary, water features and associated buildings.
Project management of landscaping work is undertaken in order to achieve the design specifications, quality standards, budget and timescales.
All aspects of managing glasshouses are provided - siting and design of structure, selection of plants and management of the environment, including Biological Control (natural predators).
People
Guidance on heath and safety issues and COSHH assessments ensure that you and your staff minimise potential risks in your garden.
One to one coaching and training in a wide range of horticultural skills in a programme individually designed to your requirements.
Management of the recruitment process can be provided for the successful selection of an appropriate candidate.
Machinery
Purchasing machinery suitable for the application is vital, so as to increase productivity and improve finish. Recommendations will be based on sourcing the most appropriate tool from a wide range of suppliers and brands.
